Gothic Farmhouse
This incredible project truly stemmed from the client’s vast collection of antiques and family heirlooms!
Presenting this stunning one-of-a-kind semi-open concept kitchen. This space wouldn’t be complete without the coffee-bar area/servery as well as all of the custom details we packed into the space. We created this kitchen based on the client’s love for black cabinets and antiques and from there our creative minds went wild! For appliances we worked in a 36” wide electric cook-top, built-in ovens, a built-in microwave drawer, fully integrated fridge/freezer, and of course a pocket-handle dishwasher. No expense was sparred on the hammered copper farm sink that we paired with a “live” finish brass “bridge style” faucet. The kitchen needed a spot for casual meals, so we worked in a peninsula that attaches to a custom doggy-gate to keep our furry friends out of the way when the space is in use. There is lots of drawer storage, a pantry with custom roll-outs, a tray divider pull-out and a waste bin system as well. The coffee bar features a built-in vintage “letter cubby” and reclaimed steel inserted in customized doors. We capped everything off with Cambria countertops in a matte finish and made sure we made use of this neat cabinet a client rescued from a horse barn by resting a mitered edge countertop on it to bring it up to kitchen height.
